The new watchOS 7.4 is here with an additional feature. The key one being is Apple Watch unlock. This will allow users wearing Apple watch to bypass Face ID and Passcode security on your iPhone. Since we all wear a mask, it’s kinda frustrating to access iPhone, especially when you are in a place when you can’t take your mask off.
The functionality works in a similar way with Mac, so if you are wearing a smartwatch, you should be able to unlock your laptop.
Steps to enable iPhone unlock with Apple Watch
Install the new software version, then enable this feature: –
- Go to setting
- Tap Face ID and Passcode
- Turn on Unlock with Apple Watch
- Accept Warning
Lastly, there are new badges to be earned on Apple Watch. User can also earn limited-edition awards and stickers.
